September 4th, 2009UncategorizedThe Southern Maine Workers’ Center was incorporated as an alliance of individuals, labor unions, and social justice organizations dedicated to helping working people, their communities, and their families.
Our mission is to create a space where workers can come together as a community and effectively address the problems and issues that they consider important. The Center aims to help workers address their problems through a combination of education, organizing, and advocacy, and we intend to be a resource for workers who have questions about their rights or their work situations. The Southern Maine Workers’ Center is dedicated to serving every unorganized worker in Southern Maine regardless of age, gender, language, ethnicity, race, sexual orientation, disability, citizenship or immigration status.
If you have questions about your rights on the job, or if you want to find out more about the Southern Maine Workers’ Center, you can reach us at 207-899-0256.
